The 500 Greatest Songs

I love lists. I'm a sucker for them. If you made a list about lists I'd think it was the coolest in a Mobius loop kind of way.

So when Rolling Stone comes out with a list of The 500 Greatest Songs I have to see it.

The list is not a list of the best rock songs, but a great collection of the songs that built rock and/or roll. The songs have a certain attitude that makes them seem right at home on the list.

I waded through the first 100 or so and saw a few surprises that made sense on second thought. If it was a playlist on your iPod it would be the best ever.
