The Naked Sun

I was looking through my desk at work yesterday and I found and old DAT that I lost about 5 years ago. On it were 3 songs from an old band of mine that we recorded in my garage on a 4 track. I loaded them in to our editor and exported them to CD.

I'll dub the songs for Rueben, maybe that'll get him off his ass to practice with our new band.

So here's a song from The Naked Sun, my band from 1992-ish.

It sounds 1992 so don't laugh to hard.

Wow, I'm not laughing, it's really good. I mean you are right, it is very 90's but in a "sounds like 90's U2 with a womans voice" kind of way. If I were you I'd strip it down and build it back up with a modern feel.

"Sounds like 90's U2 with a womans voice" had me laughing my ass off!!!

That's Rueben singing!

I'll probably get another singer for this new oroject.

If I may ask, what is the name of your current band?

Oooops! And has nobody commented on this before? or is it just a problem with my speakers?

Nothing to be oooopsing, though you are the first.

BTW, the band's name will be "The New Originals".

Very cool! I can imagine this track on an iPod commercial with a girl rocking out and dancing to it. BTW, I think it sounds pretty good for a 4 track, and I LOVE the band name. (Did I miss a post somewhere? I remember the "what to call the new band" debate, but I don't recall the post with the decision. It's a good one.)

Thanks for the flattery! My head doesn't fit in the door as is...

"The New Originals" is a great name, but just a joke stolen from "This is Spinal Tap".
